The CAWLS 2019 conference closing plenary, featuring Sonia de la Cruz, Assistant Professor at School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, University of Washington at Tacoma, and Bob Bussel, Professor of history and director of the Labor Education and Research Center (LERC), University of Oregon, is now available online. Their talk focuses on a unique and successful strategy to organize home care workers in Oregon and features a showing of the documentary “The Care Revolution: The Transformation of Home Health Care in Oregon”. The organizing of home care workers ranks as a major union success story during hard political times.
