Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000, plus a generous benefits package
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), Canada’s leading progressive policy research institute, is looking for a Senior Researcher or Senior Economist in the field of feminist economics located in its National Office (Ottawa, ON.).
The Senior Researcher/Economist will provide a progressive feminist perspective on public finance, labour markets and other social and economic policy issues. They will analyze federal budgets, write policy relevant reports, commentary and other content, and maintain a public profile in mainstream and social media. This position will represent the CCPA in public policy processes and participate in civil society partnerships as needed.
The position requires a minimum of seven years’ experience undertaking research on social and economic issues including quantitative analysis, an understanding of feminist economics, and experience working for the promotion of gender equality.
The ideal candidate is a team player and effective communicator with a demonstrated commitment to the CCPA’s mission and values.
A graduate degree in a relevant field is required. Bilingualism is an asset.
Salary range for this full-time unionized position is $80,000 to $95,000 depending on years of experience. Candidates with less than seven years of experience may be considered at a Researcher or Economist level.
