A new Research Team on Work and Society (Équipe de recherche Travail et société, ERTS) was launched at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). The team will benefit from a $30,000 grant over two years adjudicated by UQO to develop its innovative research program. ERTS researchers come from three departments (Social Sciences, Industrial Relations, and Social Work) and a broad range of disciplinary backgrounds.
The team research program will revolve around three axes: “Working Conditions and Control at Work,” “Public Policies in Work and Employment,” and “Collective Representation and Labour Unions.” A specific focus will be placed on issues of precarization and degradation of the wage-earner status, as well as on class-based and intersectional perspectives.
Led by Thomas Collombat, from the Department of Social Sciences, ERTS includes researchers Guy Bellemare, Marie-Pierre Boucher, Julie Bourgault, Mélanie Bourque, Louise Boivin, Louise Briand, Mathieu Dufour, Josée Grenier, Paul Leduc Browne, and Jessica Riel.
