Jason Russell is a Professor of Labour Studies at SUNY Empire State University. He is the author of Our Union: UAW/CAW Local 27 from 1950 to 1990 (Athabasca University Press, 2011); Making Managers in Canada, 1950 – 1990: Companies, Community Colleges, and Universities (Routledge, 2018); Leading Progress: the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada, 1920 – 2020 (Between the Lines, 2020); Canada, A Working History (Dundurn, 2021); and Management and Labor Conflict: An Introduction to the US and Canadian History (Routledge, 2022). Russell is also the author and co-author of several journal articles and book chapters. His current projects include examining representations of workers in 1970s and 1980s popular culture.
